Type 409 (Class 2)  Mining and General Use Cables

Application: These cables are significantly used in surface mining and underground metalliferous mining installations (rather than underground coal mining), as well as other general use, including ship loaders, travelling cranes, reclaimers at loading stations and other large material handling plant.  They can be used as a flexible feeder to machinery. Smaller cables are used for drills and hand tools and equipment. Larger cables are ideal for power supply to draglines, shovels, drills and so on.
Conductor: Tinned Annealed Copper (Power and Pilot Cores)
Insulation: R-EP-90
Sheath: HD-85-PCP
Voltage: 1.1/1.1 kV   to 22/22 kV
Standards: AS/NZS 2802:2000,  AS/NZS 1125,  and  AS/NZS 3808
