Electra Cables verified its Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) accreditation through the registration of its products on the VCA’s “Best Environmental Practice PVC V2.0” Product Register. This accomplishment highlights the company’s adherence to the GBCA’s Responsible Products Framework, showcasing its dedication to environmentally friendly manufacturing.
To secure the Greenstar Certification, Electra Cables opted for Compliance Pathway 2, a rigorous assessment process that evaluates environmental practices. The certification audit was conducted by Bureau Veritas Australia Pty Ltd., a JAS-ANZ accredited certification body, ensuring an independent and thorough evaluation.
The “Best Environmental Practice PVC V2.0” verification scheme identifies PVC products that meet stringent environmental and social criteria throughout their lifecycle. The initiative aims to assist procurers, specifiers, and consumers in selecting products manufactured with sustainability in mind.
